LITTLE OAKS PARENT AND TODDLER PLAYGROUP: The Little Oaks Parent and Toddler Playgroup resumes meeting on Tuesday 2nd Sept at 10am in the Presentation Centre. All are most welcome. Any enquiries to Teresa on (086) 3914725.

SPINK COMHALTAS: Spink Comhaltas are delighted to announce that registration for the 2014/15 season will take place on Friday 12th September in Knock hall in Spink between 7 and 8pm. Music classes for junior members will be on Friday’s at 7pm, commencing 19th September. Adult music classes will commence at start of October in Abbeyleix. We have a proud record since 1979 with our members wining county, provincial and All-Ireland titles in Fleadh Cheoil competitions. Spink branch hosted the very successful Laois County Fleadh in 2014 in Abbeyleix. The branch operates a comprehensive instrument bank which allows junior members to get access to high quality traditional Irish musical instruments at a very competitive price. Instruments available include fiddle, flute, concertina, button accordion, banjo, mandolin, bouzouki, harp & uileann pipes. SATURDAY MARKET: Durrow Saturday market is open every Saturday from 9am to 12.30pm in the Computer Centre beside the RC Church on the Kilkenny Rd. Potato’s and Fresh Vegetables are available, to book your favourites please ring Marie on (087) 7742506.
Home Baking from Bernie Brennan is also now available with a selection of fresh breads, scones, tarts and cakes. You can also book cakes for parties etc. with Bernie. Do come along, great value on offer!

ST TIGHEARNACHS PRIMARY SCHOOL CULLOHILL: An information evening will take place in the school on Monday August 25th. The new extension may be viewed at 8pm with meeting at 8:30pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for the local community to view the building before classes resume. Parents of pupils and members of the public are welcome to attend. (Adults only)

TAEKWONDO CLASSES: World taekwondo association classes are held in Durrow Community Centre every Monday and Wednesday from 7.45pm to 8.30pm (both nights). Classes are open to men, women and children. For more information, contact (086) 8359333 or visit www.world-taekwondo.com online.
